Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

We, at Codiste (“Codiste,” “Us,” “Our,” “We”), know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we value the trust you place in us to handle it wisely and responsibly.

This policy explains what information we collect through our website (codiste.com), how we use it, and the choices you have. It does not cover third-party websites or applications. If you use those, please read their privacy policies directly.

By using our website or apps, you agree to the practices described here. If you prefer not to share some information, you can still browse our site, though some features may not work as well.

Codiste is a privacy-first company. We see privacy as a company-wide responsibility, and we are always happy to answer questions about it.

Data Collection

Information you share with us:

When you contact us by email, phone, our contact form or a meeting booking, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, company, job title and your message. If you apply for a job, we also collect things like your work history, portfolio and other details you send us. If you contact us on behalf of a recruiting agency or recommend a candidate, we may keep your details too.

Information collected as you use our website:

Like most websites, we and our service providers collect basic information about visits, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site you came from. We use cookies and similar tools for this. We do not read your emails, calendars or files.

Information from other sources:

We may receive business contact details, such as name, work email, LinkedIn profile, company and job title, from trusted data partners and public sources.

Visitor Identification

We use a visitor identification service (RB2B, run by Retention.com) on our website. When you visit, this service and its data partners may match your visit with other information they hold about you, such as your name, work email, LinkedIn profile, company and job title. They may then let us know who visited and which pages they looked at. We use this to understand who is interested in our services and to reach out to them.

Cookies and similar tools on our website may be used by these partners to connect your visit with other information they hold about you, including your email address. We, or service providers working for us, may then send marketing messages to that email address. If you would rather not receive this, you can opt out at any time at https://app.retention.com/optout.

You can also opt out by writing to us at the email in the Contact section. We will add you to our do-not-contact list.

How We Use and Share Information

We use your information to reply to you, run and improve our website and apps, understand how visitors use our site, tell businesses about our services by email, phone, LinkedIn and other channels, hire people, keep our systems safe, and meet legal requirements.

We share information only with those who help us do this, such as hosting, analytics, email, CRM, calling and visitor identification providers, our own team members and group companies, professional advisers, and authorities when the law requires it. If our business is ever sold or merged, your information may move with it.

We do not sell your personal information. Some privacy laws use a broad meaning of “sale” or “sharing,” and our use of cookies and visitor identification may fall under it. You can opt out at any time, as explained below.

Cookies and Your Choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings on our website or the link in our footer. We also honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out request.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, you may be able to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
  • ask us to correct or delete it
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and of targeted advertising
  • receive fair treatment when you use these rights

To make a request, email privacy@codiste.com or call +1 213 338 5203. We may ask a few questions to confirm it is really you. We aim to reply within 45 days. You can also ask someone to make a request for you. If you disagree with our answer, reply to us and we will take another look, and you may also contact your state attorney general.

Emails, Calls and Messages

We may contact you about our services. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop sending within 10 business days of your request. If you ask us to stop calling or messaging you, or your number is on a Do Not Call list, we will stop. You can also tell us at privacy@codiste.com at any time.

Data Protection

We have strong administrative, electronic and physical security measures in place to protect your information from unauthorised access. How we collect, process and store data takes into account how sensitive it is and the state of technology at the time. Protecting your privacy is a top priority for us.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot be responsible for disclosures caused by transmission errors or other factors beyond our control. Please keep your login details private and do not share them with anyone.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. Website visitor and prospect information is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Job applicant information is kept for up to 12 months. We keep a small record of opt-outs so that we can respect them.

Permissible Age

Our website and services are meant for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of consent set by local law. If you think we hold information from someone under this age, please email us at privacy@codiste.com and we will take prompt action.

International Visitors

Our website identifies visitors in the United States only. Codiste is based in India with teams in the United States and South Africa, so your information may be handled in these countries. If you live in India, you can use the rights that Indian data protection law gives you by contacting us. If you are in the EU or UK and do not wish to be identified, tell us and we will honor that.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as laws, technology and our practices change. We will post the new version here with a new date. If the changes are significant, we will let you know by email or with a notice on our homepage before they take effect. Please review this page from time to time.
